Pat Schaeffer is co-founder of Talent Strategy Partners, a consulting practice that helps companies develop leaders for the future. She and her firm provide the customized framework – culture definition, competency model, multi-rater assessment, targeted development curriculum – to help organizations create a robust pipeline filled with effective leaders who can sustain a culture that supports the business strategy.

Pat’s expertise is in the human behavior aspects of culture change and talent management. She creates behavioral roadmaps that reinforce company culture and enhance organization effectiveness. She helps employees understand how, through their results and behaviors, to bring high value to the organization. Through her skill as a group facilitator, she keeps client initiatives moving and ensures successful execution. Whether it’s executive team strategic alignment, departmental planning, or front-line employee goal setting, she brings people from talk to action. 

With over 25 years of experience, Pat has consulted as well as worked in corporate. She began her career in retail merchandising with J.C. Penney, and Philadelphia retailer John Wanamaker’s. She transitioned to human resources with another Philadelphia retailer, Strawbridge & Clothier.

Pat’s consulting career began in 1983 as a compensation analyst and then project manager with Sibson & Company. At the conclusion of a project with Campbell Soup, the director of compensation there asked Pat to join the company. She worked for eight years at Campbell, serving as North American director of compensation for the last two of those years. Before founding Talent Strategy Partners in 2001, she was a principal for seven years in the Performance and Rewards Practice of Mercer HR Consulting in Philadelphia.

A member of Beacon since 2008, Pat is a Board member and has served as chair of the Governance Committee, co-chair of New Member Onboarding, and an Innovation Leadership Forum team member. She is a former board member and program co-chair with the Philadelphia Society for People and Strategy and past president of PEBA, the Philadelphia area’s premier compensation and benefits professional association.
