Our 3-part videos series, The Road to BYOBB, continues with part 2. For years, Beacon members have served as mentors to students competing in Temple University’s “Be Your Own Boss Bowl” (BYOBB). Participating students are working on business plans, which will compete for seed money in the April competition. During this meeting, Beacon member Mark Maguire helps Temple student Brendan Nolan tackle one of the most challenging tasks of the competition. Here’s the latest “News You Can Use” video with Bob Jarvis, Beacon Treasurer. Bob speaks about our 2018 Membership Campaign and its successes to date. He also clarifies the “updated requirements” for membership, specifically that Beacon kept the things that are important … those that address level of responsibility, strategic thinking and leadership.

Matt Levy, Chair of the Board of Directors of Beacon, introduces the launch of Beacon Navigator, the Networking Center of Excellence. Through an Alliance with Contacts Count, Beacon will now have access to a wealth of training tips, workshops and materials to improve networking.
