Ruth Levy, Chair
Ruth Levy is a Strategic Change leader with over 25 years of experience in consumer and medical products. She is the inventor on 31 issued patents, and has significant expertise in new product development, portfolio management, and M&A integration. Ruth is a collaborative thought leader recognized for the ability to manage change across large complex organizations, and for launching products that achieve and exceed revenue and profit goals.
Ruth’s accomplishments include leading the development of 43 new and improved NDA and OTC drug, medical device and EPA registered infection protection products, fielding biocompatibility, and skin antisepsis clinical trials, and overhauling the Quality Management System to maintain compliance to industry, government, cGMP, ISO requirements.
Ruth has held key R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing and Business Development leadership positions at companies such as Kimberly Clark and Covidien. Her accomplishments included designing personal care, household and medical products and materials; reducing manufacturing and materials costs; launching over 70 new personal care products; integrating three corporate acquisitions; developing an Asian contact manufacturing operation; starting-up a consumer healthcare products business; and implementing stage gate processes to improve speed to market timing.
Ruth is currently the Principal and Founder of Innovation Resolution LLC, consulting for the consumer and health care products industries, focussing on new product objectives, development strategies, and actionable paths forward to financially successful new product execution. She also sits on the board of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association Philadelphia chapter, and leads the HBA Women in STEM Affinity Group.
Lisa Canoura, Vice Chair
Lisa is a CEO’s secret weapon – she helps organizations deliver more value to their clients by unifying them around enhancing the client experience. From envisioning a future state, to building and embracing the case for change, to executing against future-state goals, Lisa takes strategy from an intellectual exercise to its practical execution and finds ways to improve your relationship with clients at every turn. Most recently she served as the Head of Strategy for TIAA-CREF’s Institutional Product Management group and enjoys building, improving and growing client-centric companies in any industry.
Over her 20-year career working with and consulting to leading financial services firms, Lisa has re-positioned internal audit teams as internal consulting teams, brought solutions from the online travel industry to traditional trust companies, and created innovative solutions to combine and grow industry leading, highly-profitable companies with client-loved, yet break-even, businesses. Lisa is a trusted advisor in the executive suite and her colleagues and clients trust her with both their businesses and their careers. Each year, she also mentors exceptional high-performing Fortune 500 middle managers through a year-long training program with Women Unlimited, Inc. As an executive coach and mentor, Lisa envisions professional possibilities, promotes personal transformation, and coaches executives and their teams to breakthrough performance.
Lisa brings her strategic innovation expertise to the Board of Managers for the West Side YMCA in New York City, the world’s largest freestanding YMCA, where she serves as the Chair of both the Board Development and Finance Committees. She has also brought her mentoring experience to GPSEG’s Mentor Development Committee to envision new mentoring business models for the organization. In her free time, she can be found lowering her golf handicap and recreating delicious dishes from her travels around the world. Lisa holds a BS in Finance and a BS in Economics from Villanova University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Art Dimitri, Vice-Chair
Art Dimitri is the Founder & President at Innovation25 Consulting with responsibility for helping organizations, large and small, improve strategic areas of their business operations – specializing in business development, patent strategy, and creativity monetization.
His last 17 years were focused on cross-functional projects to increase sales, reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies for three software development companies including global PLATINUM technology and start-up Aston Brooke Software.
Prior to founding Innovation25 Consulting, Art worked in executive-level positions at CA International Inc., the world’s 4th largest software development company with $3.8 Billion in sales and 11,000 employees world-wide. Notable is his four years as CA’s Corporate Vice President – Intellectual Property Strategy after previous business unit responsibilities as Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Technology Partners. His teams managed business relationships with over 155 technology partners. He also served as the Executive Director of CA’s Technology Innovation Committee for evaluation and approval of all patent application candidates for USPTO filing.
He has been listed in Who’s Who in Technology, is a multi-year President’s Club member and received awards as an Innovator and Culture Keeper. Always an educational and entertaining speaker, he has presented at numerous company meetings, technology industry shows, and client events. He is a lifetime resident of the Philadelphia area who volunteers as a board member of the American Society of Inventors and with other groups serving the needs of entrepreneurs.
Mike Krupit, Advisor
Mike is the founder and operator of Trajectify, coaching entrepreneurs of startups and small businesses to cross the chasm – getting them beyond the stage where they find that the “next step” is a big one
He has a passion for growing companies. As a veteran of seven startups (four in Philly, one in Princeton, two in Silicon Valley), a mentor and advisor to many more, and a small company turn-around, Mike has experienced diverse conditions and markets. He has successfully delivered and grown both products and services, from pre-revenue to $150M, often having to pioneer or innovate what at first didn’t seem obvious. The result is an ability to find and “operationalize” hidden opportunity, creating growing revenue streams and the organizations that deliver them.
Previously, Mike helped to launch Philadelphia’s Real Food Works as its earliest advisor. He was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Novotorium, an emerging business incubator. Novotorium grew out of his experience as Chief Innovation Officer of Voice Systems Engineering. He was also CIO, the COO and CEO of CDNOW and worked at startups including Infonautics, Verity, and KnowledgeSet.
