Who Trusts You? What To Say And Do To Attract Opportunity, Clients, and Job Offers


You know that people do business with people they like and trust.  So how do you create the 6 touch points with someone that it takes for them to take that leap?  How do you show your character and competence?  How do you create relationships with people who will “go out on a limb” for you and become your advocate?


In this workshop you’ll focus on 3 contacts you currently have and what to do and say to build your relationship with each of them.  You’ll learn how to


  • Advance through the 6 stages of trust building with people you meet (Accident, Acquaintance, Associate, Actor, Advocate, Ally)
  • Figure out a good next step with 3 people you’d like more of a relationship with
  • Show your character and competence in everything you say and do
  • Recover from mistakes (We’re human! They’re inevitable!)
  • Use Chemistry, Commitment, and Commonality as natural excuses for following up
  • Decide on a good next step when you want more of a relationship – not too pushy and not too passive!
  • Develop your 4 Nets – your WorkNet, your OrgNet, your ProNet, and your LifeNet
  • Create strategically-chosen, short-term, special-purpose KeyNets to help you reach your goals
  • Fit follow-up into your already over-crowded life
  • Make “ReachBack” easier when you don’t want to lose touch with people
