Our Host

Our Host, Gigi JK, is hosting 12 Beacon members for a morning continental breakfast meeting at The Hallwayz.

Gigi is the CEO /Founder of Virtina and a Managing Director of Nimble Leader.  Gigi’s primary background is software and business, and his experience spans 26 years, two countries and diverse industries.

The Virtina Story

“Businesses realize the true potential of eCommerce when they begin to understand that eCommerce is not just about selling online but about helping your Prospects, Customers, Employees, Partners, and Stakeholders to achieve their personal goals and win their hearts and minds.”

After 20 years in corporate, Gigi began his entrepreneurial journey; starting a Custom Software Development company. Comcast was his first client.

In 2016, Gigi launched Virtina as an eCommerce development company. The trends he identified in the marketplace were:

  • The explosive growth of eCommerce domestically and internationally
  • Realization of eCommerce development is a software engineering problem; if marketing and branding is removed and yet
  • The lion's share of eCommerce development is done by agencies whose core focus, interest, and experience are NOT software development.

Gigi transformed Virtina, a software development company into an eCommerce development company. With no marketing budget, the plan for growth was to gain name recognition, brand awareness and leads by becoming certified partners in multiple eCommerce platforms.

Today Virtina has the expertise, experience, and certifications in 9 major eCommerce platforms. Gigi and his team of 43+ have served 725+ eCommerce clients in the SMB sector since Mid-2016 in various industries.

Virtina’s Mission is to help B2B and B2C companies to strategize, build road maps for its eCommerce business, execute on the road maps and manage changes needed to succeed in today’s digital world and thus digitally revolutionizing its clients’ business.

Virtina’s Vision is rooted in its understanding of “Better Business is Simply and Overly Human.”  We, humans, are primarily driven by our interests.  Our business or professional goals are a means to achieve our personal goals. A winning business strategy should be about helping people in your business to achieve their personals goals indirectly or directly by helping them to achieve their professional goals.

The professional universe consists of people from 5 different groups: Prospects, Customers, Employees, Partners, and Investors. A business uses technology most effectively when it is deployed to achieve the personal goals of these five constituents. Today, eCommerce has the potential to meet the goals of all the five constituents. Virtina’s Vision is to make its clients successful; by making them understand the power of eCommerce and leverage its 360o capabilities to become a better business.

Virtina’s Opportunity:  US B2B sales: 14.9 Trillion. 51% of B2B business is still conducted using phone, fax and face to face communication.

69% of manufacturers and 40% of wholesalers/distributors do not leverage eCommerce technology. About 75% of these B2B companies are planning to launch an eCommerce site within the next 24 months.

Challenge Questions

Gigi would like you (attendee) to address three (3) areas:

  1. What are some B2B lead generation strategies you have had success with, primarily manufactures?
  2. What are your thoughts on establishing a network subject matter expert and promoting their skills in relation to eCommerce to generate leads?
  3. What would be some of the biggest challenges that Virtina would face in attracting manufacturing clients?

How a BNR Works?

A Business Networking Roundtable (BNR) event is a Member business-focused event designed to enable Members to share information about their business with other Members and for participants to learn about other Member businesses in a focused and moderated setting.

The Business Networking Roundtable events are for Members who are currently in a business and who wish to do business with other BEACON Member businesses.

The purpose of this meeting is business networking and designed to be a better way to learn more in-depth knowledge about other Member’s businesses with whom participants may want to engage, collaborate and/or recommend to their business network.

Instead of the usual 30 second “elevator pitch”, participants will be given 3 minutes to answer the following questions which will help others understand their business and what is it that they are looking for:

  1. What is your business?
  2. What makes you different?
  3. What’s your “value proposition”?
  4. Who is the “ideal client” for your offering?
  5. What’s the profile of the person(s) who would be a good referral for you?

Participants will also be able to participate in a 20-minute discussion of a business challenge, or topic of the Host’s choosing. Best practices, suggestions, experiences will be shared.

Participants will be principals, owners, partners or representatives of a BEACON Member business. There is no limit to the size of the Member business. While many BEACON Members are in transition and considering starting their own business, Business Networking Roundtable events may be attended ONLY by Members who have a recognized (registered) business entity. Participants will:

  • Pre-register for a specific Business Networking Roundtable event through the Beacon website.
  • Agree to the meeting guidelines and strictly adhere to them.
  • Come to the meeting, prepared to answer the 4 questions below for their Business.
  • Act in good faith to support other Participants by helping with contacts and/or referrals as appropriate.
  • Be members of the “BNR Group,” that is maintained on the Causeway site.

  • Be on time and stay through the end.
  • Follow the directions of the Facilitator and stay within the time allotted.
  • Extend professional courtesy to others by refraining from using phones, working on computers (other than taking notes) or texting during the meeting.
  • Every effort should be made to avoid distracting other Participants during the meeting.
  • Act ethically and in good faith with information and content of discussions that may take place during the meeting. Agree not to share information disclosed with Participants competitors.
  • Follow up on commitments made to others during the meeting

Come join your fellow members in a one-of-a-kind Beacon experience.
