Subgroups & Communities of Practice: Private Equity

Welcome to the Private Equity Subgroup

 Purpose:

The Private Equity Subgroup is for those members of GPSEG who wish to focus their careers on Private Equity (PE) or PE portfolio companies. Membership in the sub-group is for those who already understand private equity, or are willing to invest the time to become knowledgeable in and helpful to both the other members of the group and the private equity community in general. Members are expected to develop contacts and to assist in bringing these contacts to the group as guests/speakers.

The Private Equity Subgroup is for members with two objectives:

  • Connections to PE firms, senior operating executives and important service providers to PE firms, such as investment bankers, lenders, accountants & finance professionals, lawyers, recruiters, etc.
  • Significant learning regarding how PE firms work. How they target, execute and finance deals, plus what kind of executive opportunities exist to work for PE firms as a deal finder, due diligence provider, portfolio company executive, or firm partner.
