Subgroups & Communities of Practice: CIO Roundtable

 Welcome to the CIO Roundtable

   
 

 

Mission: 

To assist members in their development and growth as CIOs/CTOs by facilitating the exchange of information and business opportunities which will provide enhanced alignment between the Business and Information Technology practices. 

Strategy: 

The CIO Roundtable has identified four areas of strategic focus:

  • Education
  • Networking
  • Collaboration
  • Professional Development

 

Objective: 

The CIO Roundtable has identified the following objectives:

  • Problem Solving Skills for CIO
  • Business Education for business problem
  • Exchange of CIO / Technology experiences and contacts.
  • Discussion of issues pertaining to the careers and responsibilities of CIOs. This discussion is to include ideas, opportunities and challenges.
  • Network and share ideas with our guest speakers and each other
  • Be resources to each other.
  • Discussion of business ideas and joint opportunities
  • Exchange of ideas related to professional development and performance.

 

Qualifications: 

Any member in good standing with GPSEG can apply for membership to this group. The following are the qualifications required to join:

  • Serving as a CIO or has served as a CIO within the last 12 months and are actively pursuing a CIO role.
  • IT organizational responsibility of over 15 FTE's
  • Annual Budget responsibility of over $5 million
  • Annual minimum salary of $150k
  • Have a seat at the table

Application Process 

Members interested in joining the CIO Roundtable are invited to apply by forwarding your resume to Maureen Waddington. You must also include a narrative with your e-mail (no size limit) that best characterizes your role as a CIO/CTO. This narrative should also include a description of any other IT organizations you belong to along with your role in that organization. 



Meetings: 

Meetings are held every four weeks (2nd Friday of every month) throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Lunch will be served and the cost will range from $35 to $50 per person depending on the location. Meetings begin at 11:30 with informal networking and conclude by 2:00 p.m. Guests are welcome to attend as long as they are sponsored by an existing member of the roundtable or obtain pre-approval from the chair or co-chair.
