Beacon Guides: Your Concierge Service for Learning About Beacon and Being an Engaged Member
We all know what it feels like to walk into a room as a new member of a group. Everyone seems to know everyone else, people are sharing stories and laughing and talking together, and the new person looks forward to having that sense of belonging. Because we believe in "networking for life," we want all members to be an integral part of the organization, to find key members with whom they can connect, understand the many options available to them and make choices that will help them feel comfortable quickly and become engaged in meaningful ways.
To make that process easier, Beacon will offer each new member the services of a member guide as part of the new member engagement process. Guides are assigned based generally on geography and common areas of interest, as well as availability. For approximately three months, the Guide will meet personally and keep in touch with the member assigned and provide advice, make introductions, and generally help the new member determine the appropriate meetings, communications, and opportunities to utilize to enhance the member's experience.
