Our panel:

Art Ellis is Vice President for Communications and Member Relations at WHYY, the Philadelphia region’s leading public media organization. As a member of WHYY’s executive management group, he leads a team responsible for generating more than $12 million in membership support each year along with strategic communications and marketing.

Before joining WHYY in 1987, Art served as Director of Public Relations and Marketing at Philadelphia University, and news bureau manager at Case Western Reserve University.

Art is Board Co-Chair of the Gershman Y in Philadelphia. He is a past president of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association and its 2013 Hall of Fame inductee. He is also the recipient of six “Pepperpot” awards for excellence from the Public Relations Society of America, Philadelphia Chapter.

He earned the M.S. in Journalism at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Communications from Case Western Reserve University. Art, a Philadelphia native, lives in West Mt. Airy.

Marcus Iannozzi graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and has over 20 years of experience implementing communication and marketing strategies for the public and nonprofit sectors.

Entrepreneurial in spirit, but a poet at heart, Marcus firmly believes that business can be done differently.  He has grown Message Agency from a solo practice to a thriving social enterprise with the sole mission of providing nonprofits, universities, foundations, and governments with the tools and resources they need to impact the greater good.  With an expertise in internet communications, messaging, content strategy, and project management, Marcus brings his expert knowledge of nonprofit organizations and two decades of volunteer work around civil rights and economic development to our projects.

Jeff Gibbard is President and Chief Strategist of True Voice Media, the Social Business Agency headquartered in Philadelphia, Jeff designs custom social business strategies to help clients rethink their businesses from the inside-out.  He is also a much in demand keynote speaker, strategist, blogger, and podcaster. With equal parts knowledge and passion, Jeff delights in sharing his insights about how changing technologies and behavior are affecting businesses today, and will in the future. Jeff informed and delighted GPSEG’ers last year at a Sales and Marketing Subgroup meeting.

Jeff’s approach is results focused.  He is far more concerned with helping companies solve real business problems, than helping them get better at social media.  Jeff believes companies have an amazing opportunity to use social media strategically for business and along the way better appreciate, respect, and engage customers and employees.

Jeff worked in management consulting and PR for several years until he started True Voice Media. Since 2011, the agency has worked with more than 60 different companies, across a variety of industries.

Jeff majored in Film & Media Arts at the Temple University School of Communications & Theater and later earned an MBA at Drexel’s LeBow College of Business.
