A Day In The Life of a Serial PE CEO
Join us Tuesday, November 15, to hear serial CEO Jim Still share a true insider’s view on the trials and tribulations of serving as CEO of privately-held, middle market companies. Jim should know. He has been CEO of numerous companies, in different industries, with different and sometimes multiple PE investors. Jim will share lessons learned as well as advice about better positioning yourself for a C-level role in a PE sponsored company. This is an excellent opportunity to hear firsthand about leading a PE-backed organization.
About Jim Still
Jim Still is a serial Chief Executive Officer of privately held, middle market companies. After starting his career in the mergers and acquisitions area of Bell Atlantic Corporation, Jim ran a subsidiary of Bell Atlantic and subsequently initiated and closed on a management buyout of that company with a private equity fund. The successor company was ultimately sold to a public company. Since that time, Jim has run privately-held companies on behalf of Invesco Private Capital, Spire Capital and a group of 11 institutional lenders including PNC Bank, General Electric Capital, and NewStar Financial. He is currently on the Board of Directors of three privately-held companies and working on behalf of a private equity firm to identify new investment opportunities.
Jim is a resident of Oreland, PA, and grew up in Jenkintown. He is a graduate of Amherst College and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
