To the Members of the CEO Roundtable:
I am very pleased to announce that our program for the April 4 CEO Roundtable breakfast will feature James Chan, the President of Asia Marketing and Management. Dr. Chan is one of our country's foremost experts on doing business in China and Asia. He has been working with US companies since 1983 to help them market their products and services to that region and has been a trusted adviser to Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial firms as they have established and expanded their presence there.
James created the MBA course on "Global Exporting: Asia Focus" for the Villanova School of Business and teaches a special course on China at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is in high demand across the country as a speaker, and is an animated presenter in English, Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. (He has assured me that his discussion with us will be in English!).
Given the growing and yet increasingly complex relationship US companies have with Chinese companies and the Chinese government, and the impact the Chinese economy has on us all, our discussion with James is very timely. I am very pleased we have snared him for our first Roundtable of the year.
James will open with prepared remarks, and we will quickly move into an interactive discussion with him about doing business in China, the impact of the Chinese economy on our business environment, and related topics.
Because he wants to ensure that the presentation is highly valuable for us, he asks that we submit questions to him before April 4 so that he can tailor his remarks to address our interests.
The Roundtable breakfast will be held at The Pyramid Club in Philadelphia (1735 Market Street) and the cost for this event will be $40. We will begin at 7:30 a.m. with networking and move into our discussion with James shortly after 8:00. We will have a hard stop at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will be provided.
Please take two actions right away:
- Register for the April 4 Roundtable
- Send me your questions on China and Asia so that I can forward them to James before the breakfast
I look forward to seeing all of you on April 4 at The Pyramid Club.
Chair, CEO Roundtable
