The Art of The Private Equity Deal:

Why Deals Do and Don’t Get Done

James Hill

Vice Chairman of the Firm and Chair, Private Equity Group

Attorneys at Law

There are good reasons bad private equity deals get done and more attractive ones don’t.  And for every deal that does get completed, scores of others fizzle out. How can P/E funds, portfolio company executives and the army of professionals involved in M&A recognize good from bad quicker and make sure better deals close (sooner)?

To get some hard won answers to these questions and others, we are pleased to welcome James Hill, a highly experienced middle market, private equity M&A attorney. Jim, who is vice chair of Benesch, and long-time chair of its’ Private Equity Group, will share lessons learned from the more than 300 private equity deals he has participated in. Expect Jim to offer perspective on deals and deal making, the role of each stakeholder and the current state of the P/E market.

Jim is a frequent speaker on private equity and has been featured in numerous business publications. Recently, he was interviewed by Forbes on the soaring cost of deals and valuations.

Please join us on Tuesday, October 13, from 8:30 – 10:00 AM at The Pyramid Club for a hot breakfast and lively discussion. P/E group members are encouraged to register now to avoid disappointment.
