The Battle of Gettysburg:

Enhancing positive outcomes by evaluating management and leadership situations of this historic event

Spring into summer with NJ at Daybreak and an educational and refreshing perspective of business lessons learned through the battle of Gettysburg. If you manage/lead folks on a daily basis, are in transition, a CEO running an organization, or a history buff, this presentation is a must see.

Dan Sell, Principal of Dansumur Consulting LLC., is an HR professional, executive, and consultant with over forty years of extensive leadership and senior level management experience. He has also been a student of the Civil War even longer. This presentation allows him to use both perspectives to deal with the analysis and understanding of strategic issues and insights using the battle of Gettysburg as a case study model. The presentation looks at two competing organizations and their cultures, structures, operating philosophies, and talent in a very dynamic and changing environment. Emphasis is placed on a number of areas including leadership, decision-making, and management.

The presentation provides the participant with a broader and more thoughtful way of evaluating the management and leadership situations they deal with at work, and enhancing their ability to positively influence outcomes. It allows people to look at situations through a different lens and to expand their ability to think in a more conceptual way about those critical situations effecting their organizations.

In 2003 Dan was recognized as the Delaware Valley HR Person of the Year. He has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for over thirty years. Dan holds professional certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a SHRM Senior Certified Professional. Dan is Past President, current member of the Board of Directors, and Chair of the Succession Planning and Nomination Committee of the Tri-State Human Resource Management Association, an affiliated SHRM Chapter. In 1995 he was recognized by Tri-State with its Life Membership award. Please join us for a spirited presentation in South Jersey and help us kick off the summer season.
