I. LEARNING SESSION (45-60 minutes)
April Topic: How to Elevate Your Executive Presence On-line:
Gravitas? Charisma? or Something else?
Executive Presence (EP) is a critical factor in a 21st Century leader’s ability to inspire people, align teams, and drive results for multiple constituencies.
Hiring authorities, recruiters and talent management professionals express a preference for individuals who possess EP. Traditionally, EP was viewed as a set of soft skills. However, recent research reveals true EP entails much more.
What EP looks and feels like varies by degree, often determined by the corporate culture in which the executive resides. For example, an inclusive culture fosters a certain kinds of leadership model.
So how do we articulate and project our own EP in Social Media. The April GPSEG YOU will address this challenge.
Participants will learn the most current thinking and best practices associated with crafting and amplifying an effective Executive Presence on-line.
In this session, participants will discover:
* How can your LinkedIn profile best project you as the Executive you believe you are?
* What impression does senior leadership take away from their initial viewing of your LinkedIn profile (Profile)?
* What does your Profile say about you to potential business partners?
* What “hidden” messages does your Profile project within the social media ecosystem?
* What impact does your Profile make within the retained search community?
II. INTERACTIVE NETWORKING SESSION (60 minutes)
Working in small groups, participants will collaborate with one another to identify critical enhancements to their own LinkedIn Profiles based upon the 15 different facets of EP, based upon the new research presented by Bill Macaux of Bates Communications at the Human Capital Management sub-group session immediately preceding GPSEG YOU.
These changes may very well help you create a more positive Executive Presence on-line and elevate your preeminence in the world of social media.
